It is common for roofing manufacturers to market warranties as “the guarantee” of a quality installation. Don’t be fooled. Too often, the only thing about a warranty that a building owner considers is length-which is probably the least important part. While a warranty can be a very beneficial part to a building owner. It does not guarantee a leak proof roof.
With or without a warranty, the long term performance of a roof depends on 4 things:
A quality membrane and proper system design
Expert installation by authorized applicators
Periodic inspections with common sense maintenance
